Your spicy questions answered
What Size Pizzas Do You Make?
Our truck and oven are mini like a Signorino, so we make 10” pizzas to ensure service is kept to standard.
Can We Venture Outside Your Standard Menu Options?
Any pizza option is possible; get in touch to discuss.
What Are Your Payment Terms?
There is a minimum spend of $1500 for pizza. A deposit of 30% is required to hold the date, with the balance due three weeks before the event date. Cancellations with full refunds are available until three weeks before the event.
How Big Is Signorino / What Space Do I Need?
Signorino is 1.7 meters wide, so he fits through the super small spaces. He’s definitely not as short as your average Italian, reaching approx. 2.3 meters high. He fits through most garages, but double-check to be sure!
When we’re making pizzas, we need approx. 3.5 meters by 4 meters of flat surface (we get bigger when our pizza bench opens out), and don’t forget, we make authentic woodfired pizza, which means open flames! The area must be clear of trees, overhanging branches and buildings.
We Have Dietary Requirements; Can We Still Eat Your Pizza?
Si (yes)! We cater to most dietary requirements and have even catered vegan-only events! Just let us know in advance, anything is possible. We also have gluten-free bases available at an extra $5 per pizza.
Please note; that whilst we take every precaution to keep pizzas gluten-free, we work in a very small space, so that’s not always possible.
Are There Any Other Costs?
We are always upfront and honest with costs. During high season (1 October to 30 April), a small surcharge ($200) applies to events held on Friday, Saturday and public holidays.
Are There Any Travel Fees?
Travel is free for any event within 25km of our base in Templestowe. We do charge a small fee for travel outside of this – please get in touch for an accurate quote.
What Do We Need To Have Signorino At Our Event?
Ideally, we would be working on a flat, hard surface. We also need one 10amp plug and a hose connection. If these aren’t available, let us know, and we can source generators and water tanks as a backup.
What Happens On Total Fire Ban Days?
We make pizza! We work as normal even on total fire ban days (we’re just extra safe).
Do You Organise Council Permits?
If we are working from private property, like your driveway, car park or backyard, then none are needed. If you need pizza on council land, like the park, you will need to organise permits with the council. (We are experts in pizza, not so much the council).
Anything Else We Need To Know?
Good pizza takes time! We need access to the event space around 2 hours before service starts. If you need us there earlier, a small charge applies; let us know.
Our little Signorino isn’t great getting up hills; he is little after all. Have a chat with Gianna or Vincenzo about access to the event (not just the set-up space).
